3050, not booting up
Hello everyone,
I own a dell optiplex 3050,(Windows10, 8gb ram, 64 bit operating system, intel core i5 7th gen) and I used it regularly. However, one day as I tried to turn it on, it would just stick to the dell logo. I tried to use recovery tools, but it didn’t work. Now, as I turn on my pc, it shows the dell logo for a few seconds and then tells me that ‘my pc needs to be repaired’ and gives me this error code:0xc0000185. Every time I try to turn on my pc, this keeps on showing. This is quite frustrating, because I really need to use my pc for work.
Help in any way will be greatly appreciated.
regards,

Are you already out of warranty?
On boot, press F12 and run ePSA. I'm guessing your HDD crashed.
I suggest you replace with SSD (they are more durable and also faster). Be sure it's always plugged into a good UPS (like APC with AVR).

Hi tesla,
I am still on warranty because the pc was bought exactly one year ago and it lasts up to 2021.
I ran the ePSA and it gives me this error code: 20000-0151
It also says Hard Drive 0 - S/N JR10000D33VZLXE, incorrect status = 3E
SMART Predictive failure
Also, thank you for your help it has been greatly appreciated.

You are welcome.
Yes, sounds like your HDD crashed. Give Dell a call and they will get you fixed-up.
