XE2, Failed video driver download, support assist.
Fitted a Dell/Radeon 8490 grapics card only to find that the driver-XE2 Video Driver _YXNKR_WN32_15.201.2201_A00.Exe fails to load via Support assist ( 8 attemps so far) It fails about half way through the actual installation onto my XE2
Attemps to install via Device manager also fail during the actual load onto my XE2 and the computer freezes. I have to do a hard shut down using a hold down on the power button
All the Dell tests via support assist say everything in my XE2 is OK except the driver needs to be installed.
I have fitted a Dell/Rafeon card to my other XE2 with no problems some weeks ago..
Any advice please

The latest Drivers for ATI will not install.
All of the HD 1000 2000 3000 4000 5000 6000 7000 8000 series are EOL EOS and the drivers are now legacy.
There is an OEM specifc driver for AMD Radeon HD 7470,HD 7570 Graphics HD 8490 and HD 8570.

Looks like I was too quick with my reply above
Installed correctly on second attempt !!
AMD Radeon (TM)HD8490 now showing under Display Adaptors in Device Manager.It has the yellow warning triangle however
Under Properties>General There is an issue due to Windows being unable to verify the digital signature (Code 52)
Under Properties>Resources This device isnt using any resources because it has a problem.
Ill press on and try the board in operation and report back

Tried this driver and I get exactly the same result. It will install to about 50% then stops and freezes my PC.
I must have another gremlin lurking somewhere !

You have specific ROOT KIT MALWARE.
The error code "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this USB device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
