Upgrading CPU from 6th to 7th gen in Optiplex 3050 Micro?

I bought an Optiplex 3050 Micro with a i5-6500T processor, and want to upgrade it to an i5-7500T. Both use the same socket type (LGA 1151, B250 Chipset)), however they are a generation apart and all threads mention that the motherboard will likely need a BIOS update (if it supports the new processor type at all). I checked and my motherboard (0JP3NX) is version 1.10.2 which was this August 2018, and it seems it's the latest general BIOS update version across the whole 3050 Optiplex line.

Since there are both 7th and 6th gen Optiplexes for sale, with I assume the same BIOS update version, does that mean my system should support the upgrade? Could anyone confirm?

This page seems to confirm compatibility, but I'm not sure: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Dell-OptiPlex-3050/51325

Awesome man, thanks for sharing the list.

For future references and other PCs could you tell me where you were able to look this up?

No problem. The list is from the technical specifications portion of the owner's manual on the following Dell page.
