S2716DG, DP port stopped working
Built my entire pc and booted just fine. Stepped away for a bit and the screen went to sleep mode and wont wake up. DP doesn't work. Read a bunch and no real fixes yet. switch cables, toss HDMI in and that works. Eventually got DP back working no idea how or what combo of restarting, pulling HDMI cable and reinserting. Sleep mode and its gone again. been back at it 2 hours and nothing. It seems that it thinks there were/are two monitors as well even though I only have the one. When I try to switch to DP it doesn't show anything, when I swap back the Nvidia control panel states "G-Sync display detected" so it seems to be a monitor issue. It wont install the DP driver either, just HDMI as it didn't detect a DP monitor when checking.

S2716DG, Power Reset
* Turn the PC and S2716DG off
* Disconnect every video cable from the GTX 1070
* Disconnect every cable from the S2716DG including the power cable
* Press and hold the S2716DG power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect only the S2716DG DP to DP cable =
GTX 1070 DP out port --> S2716DG DP to DP cable --> S2716DG DP in port
* Reconnect the power cable to the S2716DG
* Turn the S2716DG on
* Turn the PC on

This "monitor hardware reset" seems to have worked. Any idea why when it goes to sleep that it all goes awry? I don't really want to re-enable to sleep modes for the fear of having to deal with this every time.

Unknown. Setting the Deep Sleep to Disable seems to fix many of these issues. Most users simply leave it at Disable and let the operating system handle sleep modes.
