Before I shipped it back this afternoon I took a peek and it was really a Fujitsu 100 GB ATA 4200 RPM inside the machine. Jeepers creepers Maudey, the 9100 was a beastie kind of unit...I wish it had booted so I could check it out, but have the sense that even had I been able to run it through its' paces, the 8600 would still be better for me. I really would not want to be lugging that 9100 bad boy through airports and conferences. It just had kind of an "SUV" with a trailer hitch kind of feel to it. I will stick with my "Dale Evans model" 8600.

I agree. I just bought a 600m to replace my I8100 for that very reason - lost 4 pounds in the process (not me, the computers...). Me, I need to lose 15.
