The HW Manager see it, therefore I cannot install it again! I also found the driver and I tried to execute a Flash Firmware on the QSI SBW 242 Slim 24X (from UD22 to UD 30), but it is still not working properly and I'm not sure that it has been done ...
After inserting a CD, nothing happens and when I click on the corresponding drive in the explorer, the error message "Please insert a disk in drive ..:" appears!

I asume that you are running windows 2000/xp.
can't you just reinstall it from the hardware manager, if not listed, do a new hardware scan from there.
If it can't find the drivers, go through the ms windows update

from the HW manager you can delete it and let it do a "search for new harware" again.
there you can load the new drivers in as well, via the wizard if you like.
