Replication Manager and IE Problem

Hi,

Our company has used this software for couple of months, but just discovered this problem now.

We used to access the RM through a web browser by accessing specific address. Then the RM application window will pop-up that suggest us to fill user name and password. Everything was going well before till there is a new employee come with his new installed computer. When we access the RM using the same way. It fails, the RM window pop-up for couple of second but after that there is now further action. We can not see the log in window as shown when whe access from different computer.

I have tried to reinstall the IE using the latest version (9) and the java plug-in for web browser, but it is stil not working . This happens also for other several computers, the rest are fine. For further information we use RM v5.4.2.0

  1. So my question there is any special setting that I should do on this computer to be able to access RM through web browser??
  2. How can I solve this problem?

Thank you for the answer in advance

Did you install the RM Console onto your computer?

So I'm confused. If you are using the RM Console then why are you going through the browser?

Yes I did install it, when I browse to the address, the RM window is opened for awhile then suddenly close and the browser shows only black white page. (

Thank you for your fast response,

I have solved the problem.

So actually the vendor provide us access to RM using webstart launcher. So through the browser webstart will fire RM. After figuring out, it's my local java problem therefore it fails to run the RM when the webstart launch it.

I did refresh my java installation and it works.

Ok, good. Also, make sure that you only have one Java version installed. When upgrading Java the old versions stay so go to add/remove programs and remove the old versions. I've seen that causing a conflict sometimes as well.
