Networker Module for Exchange - Public Folders
All,
I am reading conflicting info from the documentation and message boards.
If I use the MSEXCH:IS save set will it backup the Public Folder or do I need a specific save set with MSEXCH:PF?
All I want is the mailbox and public folder stores at the DB level, not brick.

Hi,
MSEXCH:IS does not include public folders. To backup public folders, you need to specify MSEXCH:PF.

Hi,
Sorry to answer back here. This is not fully correct.
The save set MSEXCH:IS includes the public folder database on a database level.
The save set MSEXCH:PF performs a brick level backup of the public folder elements.
Due to the limitations of MS-Exchange during restore of PF database (RSG or RDB mechanism cannot be used) most backup admins prefer the brick level backup.
But for a backup on DB level the MSEXCH:IS is absolutely sufficient.
