NS-480 max DAE per bus

Hi there,

Does anyone know what the maximum amount of DAEs you can have per bus is on a NS-480?

Thanks,

Ed

Each bus on the CX4-480 supports up to 8 DAEs (numbered 0-7).

Hi Ed,

The maximum NS-480 dense storage configuration includes:

1)One 42U dense cabinet

2)One Control Station

3)Two blade enclosures with two blades in each enclosure

4)One SPE with two SPs

5)One SPS enclosure with two standby power supplies

6)Twelve tandem DAE drawers for a total of 24 DAEs

For more information, you can refer to the below mentioned document:

Thanks

Thanks but I don't think that answers the question, I think that as the NS-480 can take 480 drives and has 4 x 4GbE FC buses that you can do 8 x 115 drive shelves per bus?

To be honest the NS-480 was a bit before my time and I tend to let CXP do the hard work when it comes to upgrades.

Can you remind me what the options are?

Thanks,

Ed

Cabling on the CX4 depends very much on what you already have and where its located – I would suggest to work with your partner TC or customer service contact for the site.

They can tell you exactly what is possible in terms of upgrades and what is needed to order to fit your config

I think there is also a forum for partners here on the ECN platform

Also what cables join the shelves in NS-480 is it HSSDC2 to HSSDC2 or HSSDC2 to HSSDC?
