Dell Force10 S60 Network Switch firmware available for free?
Hello,
I've been interested in getting a Force10 S60 1G/10G switch for home, but I don't want to have to purchase a support contract (It's cost prohibitive for me for a home switch)
Is there a way to get firmware updates for the Force10 S60 through dell without purchasing support? I'm happy to set up an account, I just can't afford to pay anything (super poor - why I'm looking at <2013 model switches in the first place).
Thanks
Avery

Follow up:
Could you clarify, please? Does that mean firmware updates aren't available even with support contract?
The warranty is almost certainly expired unless they're >6 yrs
Is there any possibility you could tell me what year the latest firmware update was released, and the revision number? That would be very helpful.
Thank you,
Avery

Hi,
If you have an active contract you should be able to access other products you own, unfortunately for your situation there isn’t a way for us to get you the latest firmware, 8.3.3.

Still confused,
Does that mean you don't have the S60 firmware at all?
Or it's only available to people who have a product under warranty? (as per your first response)
Thanks

You have to have the switch or another force10 switch under warranty.
