I have the Studio XPS 8100 desktop with windows 7. The DVD/CD-ROM Drive cannot be found when I tried to dowmload and install the driver. The DVD/CD icon
not display in "my computer". I get code 19 - Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. Help wanted. Thank You.

Unfortunately I am do not know what 'bios' are. But I do get a message when closing down 'word':
"Microsoft Visual Basic; compile error in hidden module: Auto Exec"
Do you think these problems are interrelated?
