Folder Option/Control Panel?

Okay, I don't know what happened.  One minute I was running a new SpyBot Scan and it was fixing the problems...next thing I know I cannot access hardly anything in my computer.  When I am offline I cannot access anything in my startmenu, or my desktop, even things like Word Perfect, or the control panel!!  When I am online I cannot access things like MSN Messenger or Yahoo.  On a whim I thought maybe I just had to redownload them, that didn't work either.  The message that pops up when I try to open anything is this, 'This file does note have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel.'  Someone PLEASE HELP ME!!  I thought I was doing a good thing and ridding my pc of all that junk!!  Help!!

Crystallee. This is a software problem, not a hard drive problem.  You should get a better response if you post in the Software board for the version of Windows you have running on your machine. Bev.
