Inspiron 8500 BSOD in bcnwl5.sys DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL stop code 0xD1

I have had my new 8500 for a few days now and it repeatedly crashes with the blue screen of death, stop code 0x000000D1, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, in bcmwl5.sys.

I have a 8500, 2.2Ghz, WUXGA, Truemobile 1300 card, 512Mg ram, NVidia 4200 go, 60BG hard drive, Truemobile 1184 wireless router. Win XP Home.

I contacted Dell support and they have never heard of this. The tech told me to uninstall the modem driver and reboot. It has crashed since then.

Has anyone seen this before? HELP?

I have the very same configuration and am also getting the same BSOD. I see lots of messages on this board about this particular problem, but can't seem to find any messages where someone has specified a fix that worked. Have you had any success?

i have an 8500 with the wireless card and have the exact same problem: BSOD in BCMWL5.sys --

What do I do now? I got the BSOD again upon reboot, and now, I get nothing after boot at all - it goes from bios startup to empty black screen and sits there.
