Laptop for University Architecture Student

Hi I am after a laptop with a really good graphics card and processor for rendering and running cad software this list was provided by the University
CPU: Intel i7 (fastest you can afford, these specs change constantly)
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M with 8GM VRAM.
Memory: 32GB
Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit. These specs do not usually come with a Mac.
what laptop would you recommend?

Hi Naomi,
I replied in the Education Community Board and I hope it answers some questions. The University really set the bar high as far as recommended specs go. That would be a beast of a system but at what cost. A student looking for such a system would probably max out their budget and then some. I did link to some alternatives which come at a substantially lower cost. As with anything I suggested lots of research on the subject before making a decision.
