"we are unable to detect any disks that can be utilized for a cloud restore".   Please assist.

Curious if you ever found the solution to this issue.  Mine is throwing the same fit.  And no, it is not a CHROMEBOOK.  It is a WINDOWS 10 notebook.

I am just hoping that the new OS requirements for Win 10 haven't made it impossible to reload the Windows OS on this system.  I at Linux coding.

11 3180 is a chrome book

Windows is not an option on this model.

Dell ChromeBook 3180 is a Chrome laptop with a 11.60-inch display that has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It is powered by a Celeron Dual Core processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The Dell ChromeBook 3180 has 32GB of SSD storage that cannot be upgraded.

This is not enough room for windows.

Hi, yes the 3180 is a windows 10 machine. Mine is having the same issue. The dell restore software just quits after not finding the cloud drive. I gave up and simply loaded the os from a USB. However this has now failed as the machine is just throwing bsod over and over. I think something has gone bang in the ssd, partition information. The machine is supposed to have 32gb of storage but when I look at drive information it's suggests there is only 28 available. I can't even keep it running long enough to check. I have loaded windows over and over, tried running it in compact mode, no success. In compact mode, the machine has 7gb left after installing a fresh copy of windows, so I don't feel it's storage. It was purchased in 2018 so it's really only two years old. Shame, I used to back Dell, no more. Have just been down to bing Lee and bought a Acer. Regards

actually this is incorrect. Dell actually made two models of this laptop one for windows with expandable storage if you remove the screws at the bottom of the laptop and there is also a chromebook one that does not have any expandability what so ever. I know this because I own four of these laptops. Two windows models 128gb and two chromebook models 16 gb. The secondary machine for both of these models I have running solus linux.

So personally I have not had this problem but if you are able to go into bios see if you cant disable c states. I say this because when you say you can barely keep it on long enough it sounds more like a power delivery problem.  on another note seeing a slightly lower number on a drive is very normal.
