In the past, we were not allowed to post links to "hacked" firmware, however recently our current Dell-Moderator will allow the links if we respectfully add the following comments.
"You use the firmware at your own risk and the use of one will void the warranty on the Dell drive."
So please from now on, include the disclaimer.

If I burn a different firmware to the DVD+RW do I loose warrenty only for the DVD drive or for the full DELL computer?

From what I have read on the forum previously, I believe that it will only void the warranty on the drive.

thanks might try later on but its working good now and be sides that if i do a lot of burning and if buner takes a dump no warnty  but will keep this in mind as it does offer -r recording
