If you set the jumper to CS, make sure your ribbon didn't work itself loose.  You might check your bios and check to see if it is in Auto.  Good Luck, Doug

Hi Dag,

Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to section 4, drop down to Dell Specification Pages, follow the link for your system. You should find information entering the BIOS and selecting the Secondary IDE channel.

Best Regards,

Hi Doug,

I read your post in Forum Feedback, I figured Dell would remove it, because "it was not related to Forum Issues"
Anyway, congrats on the new drive and on the installation !!

Take care,

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.

Jeff,
I was in a hurry when I posted, didn't realize I was out of the cd-dvd forum.

Dag,
Follow Predator directions and you shouldn't have any trouble.
Good Luck, Doug
