Engineering Request: Enable/Disable SSD1 and SSD2 on XPS 9520 in BIOS
It is possible to have the option to enable and disable SSD 1 and SSD 2 in the BIOS?
I have two SSDs installed for troubleshooting but have no way of disabling one of them unless I physically remove it.

Welcome to the Dell Community forum @egorgol
In the BIOS under the Storage Menu is there the "Port Enablement" option???
The XPS 15 9510 had the option, there was a glitch in the micro-code that would switch the drives.
Best regards,

Unfortunately, I don't have that option. My other Precision and XPS laptops have had that option, so I was surprised when my XPS 9520 didn't.
Only have the option to choose between
- Disable all drives, AHCI/NVMe, or Raid
- Enable SMART reporting
- Enable/Disable MediaCard

Somethings not, right???
They even have the option listed in your manual.

Unfortunately, Dell isn't the best at ensuring their manuals or specifications are accurate. I found this out the hard way while trying to troubleshoot why my AX211 Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz) doesn't work.

Did anyone find a solution for this?
I was also surprised to realize that the option to disable a particular drive is not there anymore.

Same problem on my Dell Precision 5570. My former workstation was able to to this, since my last upgrade its not possible anymore (although the manual still says its possible!).
Dell, please fix. This is an important feature. VMs is not always the solution.
