You may wish to post this in the appropriate software board, since they generally have more traffic and you may get a response from another user who has seen this type of problem before. The problems you are describing are related more to the software, rather than the hardware.
First I reformated my hardrive in ntsf mode and I deleted the 30MB partition that was on my hardrive. After I was done reformating I tried to load my drivers from the CD's that came with the computer but they didnt load. So I went to the dell website to download them but that didnt work either. My drivers just sit there in my dell driver folder. I double click on them to install them or to open them but nothing happens. I have no sound and my monitor screen is operating at very low resolution. I try downloading my monitor driver from the dell website also but my monitor properties tab thats under display properties is not highlighted so I cant get my moniter driver to load.
