Is my Hard Drive going to pack in ??

Question

I have a Dell Computer and have added a second hard drive to it, recently when i try to access the drive it works - at least for a while then seems to run very very slow , and somtimes I have to shut down the computer to cure this problem, the drive in question is a Maxtor 114 Gb. I didn't pay much for it , hence that maybe the problem any help would be great thanks.

You can download diagnostics on  the Maxtor website to test the drive.  Been a lot of those go south lately! wrs
