just did a reinstall of xp but have problems

Question

so I reinstalled windows xp and am starting from scratch. The biggest problem I am having is that I cannot connect to the internet. Before I was using a wirless router and now it wont connect. I can't figure out were I need to go to even see the availiable connections because the icon is missing from the toolbar. In addition to this I am wondering were I can get the macfee security software that came installed when I first recieved my computer. I went into bios and the wirless is enabled so i am lost and very frustrated. The only icon on the lower toolbar is the firewall shield and nothing else. I just want to get back to were it was when I first got it a few weeks ago.

At boot while the Dell Screen shows, hit F12 and choose to reload from the image file.  If it is still intact, it will rewrite the hdd to the way it was when you received it.

when I press f12 there is no reload image file option. IT gives me an option to boot from hdd, cd drive, or diagnosis. I can't seem to find that option any where.
