Dell offers 2 - 60GB HDDs. One is 4200RPM and the other is the better version, 7200RPM. We suggest you got to followup ASAP to check with Dell on your order and get proper verification. MP.
Good choice! I love my 600m, light weight and very quick. The wireless is a constant 54MBS. For some reason it ships with the display set at 120dpi which makes pictures blurry. (I have the SXGA+ too). Drop it down to normal, 96dpi, and you will be a happy owner.
There wasn't an option for a 7200RPM hard drive. Anyway, I was just wondering. This computer isn't my main one; my 8300 is. The 600m will only be for travelling or when my roommate is excessivly noisy and I need to do work somewhere else. In any event, thanks for both of your replys.

The 600m will become your PC of choice! (Mark my words). Please let me know how you like it when it arrives. If you have any questions about it, you can PM me or post here.
Shhh. I'd like to not think that but I know it will happen. My 8300 will play games better than the 600m but I know I'll use the 600m for all of my work and stuff since it's mobile. Will be so nice to take my computer down to the library. Can't wait. Thanks for your help and I'll be sure to get back to you when I get it to let you know how it is. Until I have more questions I'll talk to you then.:smileyhappy:
Wow I am so happy to see this forum. I have an Inspiron 600m too and I want to buy a bigger hard drive for my laptop. Would it make sense for me to buy another 60GB hard drive from dell or is it too much and the 40gb is better? This is for my new dvd burner which is having difficulties because of my low hard drive space. I've also recently added 512 ram memory to it. Thank u!

Using the Advanced Forum Search on the bottom of this page, you can quite easily find the answer to this often asked question.
In the future, you should post new vs. tagging onto an old post.
You can add any size 2.5mm drive, up to 100gb which is the biggest on the market today.
