Dimension 3100, GT 710

Question

i have a dell dimension 3100 its running windows xp and i use it for browseing the web and playing some   games  i want to put an video card in it i dont know if it will fit in my dimension 3100its a ZOTAC GeForce GT 710 i found out the slot is pcle x1 it says it will work with xp but i dont know if it will fit if someone can tell me if it will fit or not i will be happy to answer

Two things. The manufacturer's spec on the card is for a 300W PSU and I believe you have 230W. But more importantly is that you have a 13 year old system running an OS that is no longer supported by MS and is no longer receiving any security updates. Browsing the Internet with a system that is highly susceptible to Malware and Viruses is not recommended especially if you have secure data on it such as financial or personal information. I would not sink any more money into that old a system. Rather why don't you consider purchasing a new, modern, faster computer with a secure operating system.
