Dell Support Center Error
- This error first started as a BSoD which MS's error reporting supplied links to Dell Support to check for new device drivers. Seeing the advertisement and functionality for Dell Support Center @ http://www.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/services/en/dsc_home?c=us&l=en&s=dhs I decided to try it especially for the Dell PC Checkup.
- However, the DSC install would not complete because there was an older version already found. So I uninstalled the older version of DSC and begin the install again. DSC successfully installed.
- During DSC install I got a pop-up msg from Dell Support, which stated that the msg alerts had been discontinued and was now part of Dell Support Center. I uninstalled pgm Dell Support.
- Any of the Dell Support Center menu options (Dell Support Center, Dell Support Center Alerts, Dell Support Center User Settings, About Dell Support Center) all result with the same error msg. appearing in the Dell Support Center Setup window
'Content for this page is not yet available. Please close this page and try again.'
UPDATE:
- If I surf to http://pccheckup.dellfix.com/, I receive the msg.
Wait! You already have Dell Support Center installed on your system. Dell Support Center users have access to the full version of PC Checkup, which has more detailed scans than the Online version, as well as the ability to run customized scans. We recommend using Dell Support Center to run PC Checkup.
To open Dell Support Center and run the diagnostic scans, click "Use Dell Support Center" below. To continue with the Online version, choose "Use PC Checkup Online"

-
When I click "Use Dell Support Center" a Dell Support Center Setup window opens with the originally reported error msg. 'Content for this page is not yet available. Please close this page and try again.'
-
But to my amazement, another window opens Dell PC Checkup with options to run a Default or Custom Scan.
-
The Default Scan runs, I can see tests pending then running and statuses changing to NOT COMPLETED for what appears to be all the tests.
-
After Scan completion there is a PC Checkup Report which I can look a various items, but I don't see all the tests or results.
I don't see any errors or recommended driver downloads and or any Automatic Fixes (as configured during DSC install) but I know there are driver updates. Is there anyone from Dell looking at these forums? If so could somone look at one of the Checkup Reports and maybe identify whats going on?
