G'eve.  I recently swapped my modem for a NIC card... upon restart I got an error message after initial POST...." diskette drive 0 seek failure,  diskette drive 0 seek failure".... then XP loads. I can see the drive in Explorer, but when i insert a disk.  it says "disk not formatted, would you like to format now",,, which i dont cuz the disks contain useful info.. and I know that they are formatted cuz the used to work and also work in my other comp.   Ok... that said... i tried reseating cables, removing NIC card, cleaning fdd, Im gonna try another fdd now but wanted to post this b4 to see if anything else might come to mind from anyone... any help is appreciated.
