Drivers

I need to get some opinions on a thing called DriverGuide Toolkit.  I've read that this is a good tool to have if you want to update any of your drivers on your computer.  It backups the original drivers that came with the computer I guess in case you ever need to restore your computer you will have them.  I don't know how this works but if anyone is familiar with this the could you please explain to me how this works and if it is good to have or should I be using this, etc.?  I have a driver that is in very need to be updated but my system tells me that I should make sure I buy this toolkit and make sure I back up all drivers before updating them so want to do the right thing.  I got this information from a site called www.grc.com from it's trouble in paradise utility (tip.exe).  It's for omega drives, like I have been having problems with mine and can't seem to find the problem and this detected that I need to install ASPI32.exe but before I do to make sure I back up my original drivers.  Thanks for any help.
