i bought a computer from dell last yr, model dimension 8250,

and have had no problems with sound till yesterday. i was required to update driver for audio and i accidently removed sound blaster audigy from my system. so i got out my installation cd and reinstalled it, and then, none of the programs were working. audio hq didnt work, speaker settings etc etc. it said that it could not detect driver, please reinstall, so i did. still nothing. i uninstalled, removed all folders and then tryed again, same problem.

ive read on the net that creative sound blaster audigy causes many problems like this for people. i think that since it was preinstalled on ur system there should be a solution some where around. even though ive now completely removed audigy and am just using the driver so i have sound, there is still CTSysVol in the config startup. even after numerous reinstalls, none of the audigy progs were working, even the system creative system volume. i got all updates from creative website, still no fix.

what to do??? please advise
