I've just upgraded my Dimension 4100 BIOS from A03 to A11. The upgrade completed successfully, but now W98 SE gives a Windows Protection Error and will only start up in safe mode. Can anyone tell me whether I can fix this by reflashing A03 (assuming I can get it onto a floppy somehow - the laptop I'm using right now doesn't have 3 1/2 floppy drive), or do I repair it by reinstalling Windows [sigh]. Any help would be much appreciated.
