I bought Corsair VS450 to replace the stock PSU. The original PSU ceased to work after almost 2years of idleness. I checked the original PSU by unplugging everything and starting the PC, the motherboard light didnt come up. 

After unplugging every cable, I plugged only the motherboard and CPU cables from the new PSU. Now the machine starts for a few seconds and I can hear a click when it starts and then it turns off immediately. This happens 4 times and then it turns off completely. The click is not from a HDD, I have unplugged every device/component.
