I just received my new Dimen 8400 3.6 Ghtz, 80GB SATA hard drive two days ago. I'm very happy with it so far. The only thing I give a big thumbs down is the Sonic Record Now Software. The factory installed drive that came with it ((Hitachi-Lucky Goldstar HLDS GRA-4120B) I guess is all right, I have no beef with that. I just have that feeling that the Sonic software is going to be bug infested from what I've been playing around with so far and it's all simple testing nothing heavy.

I've tried Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 software but apparently it's not compatible with the GRA-412B yet. I know eventually it will be but I don't know when. The reason I mentioned Roxio software is that I've had much success with this software when it was Adaptac Easy Cd Creator ver 3.xx thats the reason i want to stick with Roxio. 

I want to replace the Dell installed DVD/CD-RW drive with the Plextor 712SA DVD+/-R/RW which as of now is compatible with Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 and Roxio Photo Suite. Naturally I'll have somebody do it for me because I'm not into that stuff.

My question: Would there be a big hassle/problem with replacing the Dell installed DVD/RW with the Plextor 712SA?
