I need to reinstall windows on my Dimension 5000, it is currently running XP Pro. Not my choice, I had a chap from the newspaper to sort out some stuff, and suprise, suprise it came back with a different operating system. (He even installed a complete road map of Britain with out asking!) We have now got internet security issues (thanks to an unvalidated 'copy' of windows) I am not the really techy type, but am prepared to 'give it a go'! However I have fallen at the first hurdle. The Ctrl and F11 Key thingy doesn't do anything and when I insert the reinstall cd from Dell it asks for a product code (No I haven't got one)

Any pointers in the right direction would be gratefully received.
