Alienware 17 supposedly 'fixed'
So my screen on my alienware 17 began to glitch whenever I put slight pressure on the frame around the screen and then it wouldn't boot up and I was getting the 8 beeps. Well I called Dell and the guy on the phone was very nice and helped me figure out that it was probably a lcd failure.
Well, the guy (wasn't even a dell employee, business hired by dell) who came out to fix it, admitted he'd never worked on this model after he had taken it completely apart. Well long hellish 4 hour story short he ended up replacing the motherboard as well as the screen because "I don't want to put it all back together and the motherboard be the problem" well fine but he didn't give us any product numbers for either the motherboard or the new screen and I had the original 1980x1020 lcd screen and I now have no way of checking if this is the same quality of screen. Is there some way to check it?
Another question I plugged in my mouse and it kept binging as if I was plugging and unplugging the device, I never had this issue before the man supposedly fixed it.
Does anyone have a suggestion on the course of action I should take. I'm still under warranty the computer is about two and a half months old.
