Adding additional HD to a B110

Question

Hello all,   Looking for some guidance/info on what is in front of me. I mistakingly ordered a SATA 500 G HD for my other computer (Generic) which has IDE connections. I do have a Dell B110 that I am being told would be able to use a SATA HD. I just want to add it in as an additional storage drive. I presently only have a DVD drive and the 160 G HD in it. If I can use it in my Dell, that will save me $$ in restocking fees from a return.   My question is, is there an open bay in my B110 (I'm at work and can't look) and are there data and power connections already in there for an addition?  I can pick some up if not on my way home.   Can the power supply handle it?   I looked but didn't see a thread covering this already, any help will be greatly appreciated.   I am running XP.

There is no bracket for a second HD, which as manuson noted must be IDE, not SATA.

So you need to buy a bracket or an adapter to put it in a 5.25" bay. I also believe the data cable is for a single drive, so you would need a two drive cable.

Those low end Dells are really not expandable without significant effort.

Thank you to all of you for the responses. Very helpful. I went ahead and asked for a return authorization, and ordered a IDE Hard Drive.   Thank you again!
