This is the manual for your system. scroll down to drives.. there is no SATA connectors on the motherboard..

There is no bracket for a second HD, which as manuson noted must be IDE, not SATA.

So you need to buy a bracket or an adapter to put it in a 5.25" bay. I also believe the data cable is for a single drive, so you would need a two drive cable.

Those low end Dells are really not expandable without significant effort.

Thank you to all of you for the responses. Very helpful. I went ahead and asked for a return authorization, and ordered a IDE Hard Drive.
