Spell Checker

the problem is with the Spell Checker in OE I am running a Windows XP Home Edition.  I have Office 2007 installed.  when I follow the on-screen prompts, it takes me to Tools, Spelling. Options, Spelling.  It gives the language as "French (France)" with no other option allowed on the drop-down menu.  I have been trying for three days to get registered with Dell, but I get a message stating that at this time they are "unable to process my request".  Can someone suggest what I can do to allow English to be the language for spell checking my Email.
Thanks to all!

Ok, you mentioned you have Office 2007, but your mail client is Outlook Express (not part of Office). I just want to make sure that is your situation.

Can I assume your OS is English?

You are correct!  I have the 2007 Office Suite installed on my computer, but OE is my mail client.  I just checked to make sure that the spell check I have for Word in in English. It is!
Thanks for your reply.  any suggestions.

Ok, the short term fix is here.

The long term fix is to ditch OE, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. Just use Outlook. You can import your mail, contacts and settings from OE to Outlook.

Take care,

Thanks so much for the information.  I did  not know that OE was no longer being supported by Microsoft.  OE was transferred to my new computer and it was the one that I had been using.  Guess I'll have to do my own spell checking or switch everything to Outlook!

Spent 10 yrs in VA and had a close association with VPI.Glad to hear that there are people around that still care.
