What makes your 21” ORv3 racks different from what I can buy from other providers?
With patented AC whips, more space and support for cabling, and blind mate DLC and power connections, our ORv3 racks offer serviceability with less downtime during maintenance and upgrades. Our racks support future technology deployments with a multi-generational PowerCool DLC system, a higher wattage power shelf, and a DLC busbar capable of handling up to 504 kW per rack.
What do you mean by “one-call service and support”?
Dell provides comprehensive technical support for the complete rack-scale system – servers, networking, storage, and cooling - for easy operation and quick issue resolution. We offer both PowerCool and third party cooling options. By integrating management, cooling, and services into a unified system, we address the critical challenge of managing infrastructure with a single-vendor model.
I’m familiar with iDRAC for server management. Do you offer rack-scale management software too?
Rack-level management through OpenManage Enterprise with real-time telemetry detects anomalies early and monitors the complete system or a fleet of racks on one interface. Rack-level leak detection with automated mitigation through the Integrated Rack Controller reduces risk, simplifying management and reducing TCO.
What compute options are currently available?
PowerEdge server options for 21” OCP standards-based racks with DLC or Hybrid DLC include XE9712 with NVIDIA GB300 NVL72, XE9780L, XE9785L, XE8712, and M7725. PowerEdge server options for 19” EIA-standard racks with air cooling include XE7740, XE7745, XE9780, XE9785.
Can I purchase these servers or racks separately, without the rack-scale integration services?
Air-cooled servers that can be delivered in 19” racks are available for purchase outside of the IRSS program. All DLC and hybrid DLC servers and rack sleds are only available as a part of IRSS with expanded rack-scale integration services.
