Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to commonly asked questions related to Dell Automation Studio

In relation to Dell Automation Studio, a blueprint is a declarative, infrastructure-as-code specification file (YAML) that describes your application topology and details executables for automated actions. They support user-defined inputs to tailor each deployment and offer a high degree of flexibility and integration into existing ITOps and ITSM workflows. These blueprints are executed through our Dell Automation Platform orchestrator.
Validated blueprints are pre-built configurations and automation, designed and tested by Dell's experts, that facilitate seamless and secure deployment of private cloud, AI, and edge software on Dell hardware. They eliminate manual installation and deployment steps, reducing human error, complexity, and time-to-delivery.

For Dell’s platform, validated blueprints are primarily related to our validated outcomes for Dell Automation Platform, such as Dell Private Cloud, Dell Distributed Private Cloud, and Dell AI Solutions.

Blueprints created as part of Dell Automation Studio capabilities are not considered validated blueprints.
Dell does not provide support for user-generated blueprints as part of Dell Automation Studio. If you need Dell’s assistance in creating or refining blueprints, contact your sales representative to engage Dell Services for further information.
Dell Automation Platform provides the underlying automation and orchestration required to onboard, deploy, and manage Dell’s solutions across AI, private cloud, and edge. Dell Automation Studio unlocks the toolkit and deeper orchestration capabilities you need to build, integrate, and standardise your own automation outcomes in Dell Automation Platform, leveraging existing knowledge and scripting from the tools you already use (Terraform, Ansible, ServiceNow, GitHub, etc.)
