To remove the optical drive, remove the two screws securing the side cover to slide and lift the cover off the system. Identify the optical drive and disconnect the cables. Remove the two screws and slide the drive out of the system.
To reinstall the optical drive, slide it back in the system. Tighten the two screws and reconnect the cables. Secure the side cover on the system with the two screws. For more information about your Dell system, visit: Dell.com/Support.
