Welcome to this tutorial on enhancing your Dell audio experience with Dell Display and Peripheral Manager or DDPM. To get started, select the required headset or audio device from the DDPM home screen to open the overview page where you can access settings and customization options.
Here you'll see an image of the device along with details like the device model name, firmware version, connectivity type, battery level, and tabs such as Audio Settings, Automated Actions, and Device Settings. In Audio Settings, you can fine tune the background sounds using Transparency mode. Use the slider to adjust the level of ambient sound you hear. You can easily configure your audio modes to match your needs.
In Collaboration mode, enhance your call quality by turning on Mic Noise Cancellation for both outgoing and incoming audio. You can also adjust the side tone to control how much you hear your own voice while speaking on a call. In Multimedia mode, enjoy your media just the way you like it.
Choose from audio output presets like Bass Boost or Treble Boost, or create Custom audio settings that perfectly match your preferences. In Automated Actions, you can enable features such as Wear Detection, which pauses music, or mutes your mic when you remove your headset and answer calls. In the Device Settings section, you can turn the busy light on or off.
When it's on, it indicates that you are on a call. You could also choose your preferred Voice Guidance level, Essential, or All to hear helpful prompts while using the audio device. For wireless headsets, you can download the Dell Audio Mobile app to customize your headset settings directly from your phone.
If you're using a Dell speakerphone or sound bar, choose the presets that best fit your preferences and occasions to enhance audio performance. Hover over info icons to check button compatibility with programs like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other compatible applications. Whenever an update is available for DDPM or the headset and audio firmware, the gear icon will light up.
Navigate to the Updates tab and follow the prompts to easily download and install the latest updates, keeping the DDPM application, headset, and audio devices up to date. With DDPM, you have powerful customization options that make it easy to create a personalized audio experience tailored just for you.
