This package provides firmware update for Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD and is supported Latitude D630 ATG/D531/D630/D631 and Vostro 1000 that are running the on the following Windows Operating system: Vista and XP
For Bootable CD option (no floppy available) (PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE) 1. Click on the (R203530.EXE) file and select ""RUN"" then ""RUN"" again. 2. Press ""Continue"" then ""OK"" to extract the files to the provided location. 3. If you have CD imaging software that supports the .ISO image format the file ""C:\DELL\Drivers\R203530\CD Image\Toshiba Utility.ISO"" is an image for a bootable CD that will automatically run the application. 4. Boot to the CD. 5. The Toshiba utility will start automatically. 6. The utility will update the appropriate Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB. 7. Once completed, an ""OK"" message will be displayed. 8. Remove the CD 9. Power off your PC for 10 seconds. 10. Power on your PC to continue normal operation. For Bootable Floppy option (PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE) 1. Click on the (BR203530.EXE) file and select ""RUN"" then ""RUN"" again. 2. Press ""Continue"" then ""OK"" to extract the files to the provided location. 3. You will be prompted to insert a floppy and press ""Continue"" 4. Restart your system with the bootable floppy inserted. 5. The Toshiba utility will start automatically. 6. The utility will update the appropriate Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB. 7. Once completed, an ""OK"" message will be displayed. 8. Power off your PC for 10 seconds. 9. Remove the floppy and power on your PC to continue normal operation. For Other Bootable option (IE. USB key, etc.) (PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE) 1. Click on the (R203530.EXE) file and select ""RUN"" then ""RUN"" again. 2. Press ""Continue"" then ""OK"" to extract the files to the provided location. 3. The files are located in ""C:\DELL\Drivers\RR203530\Files"" directory. 4. Add the files to your bootable media and run the ""Autoexec.bat"". 5. The Toshiba utility will start automatically. 6. The utility will update the appropriate Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB. 7. Once completed, an ""OK"" message will be displayed. 8. Remove your bootable media and power off your system for 10 seconds. 9. Power on your system to continue normal operation.
