1) Download the self-extracting ZIP file "GLD10030.EXE" to your Windows Desktop.
2) Execute the zip file by double clicking on it. The WinZip Self Extractor window will pop up.
3) Clear out the contents of the box under "Unzip To Folder:" and enter C:\DRIVERS\MODEM\ACTIONTEC instead.
4) Ensure that the check mark is left in place against “Overwrite Files Without Prompting”.
5) Click the UNZIP button. After the process completes, click on OK. Now click on CLOSE to close the WinZip Self Extractor window.
6) Using your Windows File Explorer (right click the START button once and select Explorer) navigate to C:\DRIVERS\MODEM\ACTIONTEC\HTML\ENGLISH. Locate the files entitled INDEX.HTM and double click on it. This will open
the user manual for this modem.
7) Follow the instructions to install the driver and user diagnostics for your particular operating system.
8) In the case of Windows Millennium and Windows 2000, there is a native driver in the operating system for this modem. These drivers must be updated otherwise the user diagnostics will fail to detect the modem. Use the SETUP utility in the C:\DRIVERS\MODEM\ACTIONTEC\DRIVERS\ME\SETUP directory to update the Millennium driver. The Windows 2000 driver must be updated manually using the driver update procedure within that operating system’s device manager.
