Wat is het L2- en L3-switchprofiel in DELL SONIC?

Dell Networking Sonic biedt ons de keuze uit twee switchprofielen: L2 en L3

  • L3-switchprofielen geven ons een standaardconfiguratie die sterk lijkt op een routerconfiguratie. Bij een nieuwe installatie heeft Dell Sonic OS L3-switchprofielen.
  • L2-switchprofielen geven ons een standaardconfiguratie die sterk lijkt op een Layer 2-switchconfiguratie

Er is geen verschil in configuratiepatronen L2- of L3-profiel. Het definieert de standaardconfiguratie van de switch als we een fabrieksinstelling of interface-standaard uitvoeren.

  • Gebruik het L2-profiel voor schaalbare L2-implementaties om een grotere MAC-tabelgrootte te configureren.
  • Gebruik het L3-profiel voor de meeste switchimplementaties om een grotere L3-tabelgrootte te configureren.

 

Het aantal VLAN-leden per systeem kan variëren tussen de L2- en L3-profielen, afhankelijk van het switchmodel en de DELL SONiC-release. Controleer de compatibiliteitsmatrix voor meer informatie.

 


In de onderstaande tabel wordt het verschil tussen het L2- en L3-profiel uitgelegd.

LET OP: Bij het wijzigen van het standaardprofiel wordt de bestaande configuratie gewist en gaan de services omlaag. Zorg ervoor dat de wijziging wordt uitgevoerd tijdens downtime en dat er indien nodig een back-up van de configuratie wordt gemaakt.
