Symptoms

 SLES node expansion will default pick the CentOS image.
resource group  

 

Cause

Add Existing Service was performed with mixed OS type with Intelligent Catalog and custom CentOS image.

After the brownfield, The SLES node expansion was picking the CentOS image instead of SLES in the deployment workflow in 4.5 though the OS image was set to "Use Compliance File Linux image" in the Resource Group. 

Resolution

  • IC does not contain SLES image 
  • Manually upload the SLES image.
  • Modify the Resource Group to set the SLES image and perform the SLES node Expansion
