Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.
Cause
The VDC on secondary ECS is created through primary VDC and when it is added to federation. If there is an already created VDC, the procedure fails.
Resolution
A VDC that has been already created on the secondary site. What has been tried to add on the primary site will not work and resulting in the above error message.
According to the procedure in latest ECS Administrator's Guide, the secondary ECS site only needs one storage pool created and a valid license uploaded.
NO VDC must be created on secondary ECS. It is created through primary site ECS.
Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one storage pool in the Ready state. If you encounter this issue, open a Service Request with Dell EMC customer support and note this KB.
