Isilon PowerScale: Reimage process fails with stop boot condition reached

Symptoms

When reimaging an Isilon or PowerScale node, a message similar to this is displayed:
 

Unable to pull files from None backup
Installation config method is PSF: Unable to pull secondary backup files
Installation config method is PSF: Copying PSI config files
Unable to /sbin/mount /dev/mirror/mfg on /mfg
PSF file path /mfg/psi/psf.json unmounted primary backup; mount attempt failed
stop_boot condition reached, but OneFS install flag set. Aborting.
Failed to copy PSI config files: Chassis is missing a PSI receipt.
A receipt must be provided before the boot will be allowed to continue.

eval: cannot create /opt/dell/srvadmin/iSM/etc/ini/software-package.ini: No such file or directory

Cause

The mirrors were previously marked as dirty and need a file system check to resolve.

Resolution

Log in to the operating system with the username of root and password of a then run:
 

fsck -y -t ufs /dev/mirror/*

If the command indicates it has repaired any of the mirrors, re-run the command. Continue to re-run the command until the mirrors report no changes.

Once the mirrors are marked as clean, reboot the node and the reimage process should complete. If the reimage process continues to have issues, contact support.
