How to uninstall Alienware Command Center

NOTE: The following steps require to be performed with an Administrator account. Ensure you are logged in as an administrator on your computer.
  1. Uninstall Alienware Command Center from Program and Features.

    1. Press and hold the Windows (Windows Button) key, and then press the Q key.

    2. In the Search box type programs and features.

    3. Select Add or remove programs (Control panel) in the list of programs.

    4. Locate Alienware Command Center in the list.

      • In Windows 11, select the three dots to the right of Alienware Command Center, and then select uninstall and follow the prompts.
      • In Windows 7 and Windows 8, select Alienware Command Center, and then select uninstall and follow the prompts.
  2. Launch the Run Command and delete the Alienware folders.

    1. Press and hold the Windows (Windows Button) key, and then press the R key.
    2. Type %appdata% and press Enter.

    3. Delete any Alienware Folder. If the folder is not continue.

    4. Type %programdata% and press Enter.

    5. Delete any Alienware Folder. If the folder is not there, continue.

    6. Go To C:\Program Files\Alienware\.

      Older versions of the command center are under C:\Program Files (x86). Check both folders.

    7. Delete the Command Center Folder Only.

    8. Go to the Documents Folder (My Documents on Win 7).

    9. Delete the AlienFX and Alienware TactX Folders.

    10. Restart the computer.

How to install Alienware Command Center

  1. Browse to the Dell Drivers & Downloads website.

  2. Identify your Dell product.

    • Click Download and Install SupportAssist to Autodefect your Dell product. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Dell SupportAssist. For more information, see the Dell knowledge base article Dell SupportAssist (formerly Dell System Detect): Overview and Common Questions
    • Or, enter the Service Tag, Express Service Code, or the Serial number of the Dell product and click Search.
    • Or, click Browse all products to manually select your Dell product from the catalog.
  3. Click Check for Updates to allow Dell to automatically find driver updates for you.

    NOTE: When updates are found, select Download And Install and follow the prompts.
  4. Alternatively, you can manually locate and download the drivers.

    1. Click Find drivers.
    2. Use the drop-down menu under Operating System and select the operating system that is installed on your Dell computer.

    3. Use the drop-down menu under Category and select the Application category.

      NOTE: To view drivers for your Dell computer, select This Device:
    4. Click the Download button next to the Alienware Command Center Application and save the file.

      NOTE: Make note of the location where the file were downloaded.
    5. Using File Explorer (also known as Windows Explorer), browse to the location where the downloaded file was saved.

    6. Double-click the .exe driver installation files that you downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

    7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

    8. After the installation is complete, restart the computer.
