Symptoms

Scénář

V tomto scénáři má uživatel zařízení PowerFlex 16G a přináší si vlastní bitovou kopii systému Red Hat Enterprise Linux pro uzly MVM (PFMP).

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10

Instalace PFMP selže ve druhé fázi při 74 %.

V bedrock.log se zobrazí následující chyba:

fatal: [host1]: FAILED! => changed=false
 assertion: ansible_failed_task is ot defined and ansible_failed_result is not defined
 evaluated_to: false
 msg: |2-
       The failed task in the block: "Install fluxtoolkit via helmrelease"

Důsledky 

Nelze nasadit PFMP.

Cause

CMO vyžaduje UMASK 022 pro správné nastavení grafů Helm. UMASK 027 poskytuje uživatele root s oprávněními rwx, skupinu s oprávněními r-x a žádná oprávnění pro ostatní.

Resolution

Oprava:

Upravte hodnoty UMASK na všech třech uzlech MVM (PFMP).

Chcete-li změnit UMASK na 0022:

  1. Aktualizace hodnoty UMASK 
vi /etc/login.defs
   Update the line UMASK 027 ---> UMASK 022
   save it.
  1. Načtěte konfiguraci:
source /etc/profile
  1. Ukončete shell a znovu se přihlaste.

Je aktualizována nejnovější konfigurace. #Testování: Pokud vytvoříte jakýkoli nový soubor, bude vytvořen s oprávněními 644.

Po úpravě hodnot:

  • Resetujte instalační program PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/reset_installer.sh
  • Nastavení instalačního programu PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/setup_installer.sh
  • Zahájení instalace PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/install_PFMP.sh


V informacích o vydání Dell PowerFlex 4.6.x je uvedeno následující (str. 18):

Symptom: The PowerFlex management platform installation process requires that the umask be set to the Linux default (022). If you have changed the default umask setting, the helm images do not have the correct permissions when it comes time to pull the images.
 
Recommended action: Change umask to 022.
