如何正確調整連接至 Symmetrix 的 ESXi 伺服器。

在分區至 Symmetrix 儲存陣列的全新或現有 ESXi 伺服器上，出現效能下降。
連接至 DMX、VMAX 或 VMAX3 陣列的 ESXi 伺服器效能下降

注意：這不僅僅適用於新實作的伺服器。

 

Cause

VMware 原生多重路徑 （NMP） 循環制 （RR） 原則的可調設定未正確設定，或仍設定為預設值 1000。

 

Resolution

連接至 Symmetrix 時，NMP RR 原則 I/O 作業限制應設定為值「1」。

若為 ESX/ESXi 4.x：

  • 若要檢查 I/O 作業限制： esxcli nmp roundrobin getconfig --device=<device NAA>
  • 設定 I/O 作業限制： esxcli nmp roundrobin setconfig --device=<device NAA> --iops 1 --type iops

針對 ESXi 5.x：

  • 若要檢查 I/O 作業限制： esxcli storage nmp psp roundrobin deviceconfig get --device=<device NAA>
  • 設定 I/O 作業限制： esxcli storage nmp psp roundrobin deviceconfig set --device=<device NAA> --iops=1 --type iops

 

Additional Information

在 VMware ESXi 5.1 之前，Symmetrix 陣列類型附掛程式 （SATP） 的預設路徑選擇原則 （PSP） 已修正。Symmetrix SATP 的 PSP 應變更為循環制原則 （ESXi 5.1 中的預設原則）。應用此更改后，NMP 將以循環制方式在所有活動路徑中通道 I/O。

但是，路徑切換的頻率由名為“I/O 操作限制”的參數控制，預設設置為 1000。當分區為僅 Symmetrix 時，這是不正確的。
