To provide the best possible support, Dell is focusing its Total Customer Experience (TCE) efforts on recent product software releases.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) requests are honored for systems running any GA code version that is less than 24 months old.
The chart below details the minimum Unity OE code release acceptable for RCA requests as of October 30, 2025.
NOTE: "Recommended Code" is what we formerly referred to as "Target Code."

Definitions:
- Latest Code: This is the latest General Availability (GA) code offered for download.
- Latest Code Released Date: This is the date that the latest code was Released to Web (RTW) for download.
- Recommended Code: This is Dell's recommended code for all new installs and upgrades. It has met all requirements for stability and runtime. It is also the code on arrays when they ship from the factory.
- Recommended Code Declared Date: This is the date that Dell declared that all stability and runtime requirements were met and the code was approved to become the new Recommended Code.
- Minimum RCA Code: This is the lowest code level for which Dell provides official Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Minimum Code Expires: This is the date at which the Minimum RCA Code reaches 24 months post-GA date.

As per Dell's updated Code Currency Guidelines, Dell has changed the minimum revision level for RCA to reflect any OE revisions which are 24 months or less than the post-GA date. This is revised from the previous value of 18 months post-GA date.
Users who want to pursue RCA for unsupported code releases should contact their local Service Manager or Services Account Manager (SAM) for escalation assistance.
