Symptoms

De ACL's voor de hele schijf zijn beschadigd na een ransomware-aanval.
De ACL's van de hoofdschijf worden niet hersteld bij gebruik van de onderstaande vlaggen (in avtar.cmd):

--restore-acls-only
--existing-dir-aclrestore
--detect-acl-changes

 

Cause

Tijdens het terugzetten van de ACL's gebruikt de 'avtar' de functies SetNamedSecurityInfoW en SetFileSecurity.
Volgens Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) worden deze functies gebruikt voor bestanden en directory's.

 

Resolution

Permanente oplossing:
Upgrade de Avamar Server naar.

  • 19.4.100-116 of hoger
  • De oplossing is opgenomen in Avamar 19.4 en latere softwarereleases.
