OMSA: How to rebuild a virtual disk

Rebuild using OMSA
- Log in to OMSA.
Click Continue to this website if the security warning message appears. - Expand Storage on the left tree.
- Click the wanted controller name→Connector 0→Enclosure→Physical Disk.
Note: This depends on the configuration. It may be required to expand Connector 1 or the Enclosure for drives to be displayed.
- Choose Rebuild from the drop-down menu on the Tasks for the hard drive to be rebuilt and click Execute.
- It is completed when the Rebuilding status is displayed on the State field of the target hard drive.
When the rebuild process is completed, the State field shows Online status.
Rebuild using CLI
It is required that OMSA be installed on your server.
- Open a DOS window (Windows) or a Terminal (Linux).
- Run the command
omconfig storage pdisk action=rebuild controller=Controller ID pdisk=Physical disk IDto rebuild.
Example:Controller ID=0, Disk ID to be rebuilt=0:0:1omconfig storage pdisk action=rebuild controller=0 pdisk=0:0:1 - "Command successful!" A message is displayed and the rebuilds process starts.
- Run the command
omreport storage pdisk controller=Controller ID pdisk=Physical Disk IDto check Rebuilding is displayed on the Status field of the wanted hard drive.
When the rebuild process is completed, the Status field shows Online status.
